The settlement of Bullseye
An outpost, three connected burrows, a hidden mystery.
Bullseye (settlement)
RELIGIOUS. Home of a flock of the Long Vigil, a group of Droids that wait for the Departed Gods to return. Phaged Scrap is forbidden, as the Vigil expects the Gods to judge them on their morals when they return.
X SHAPED. One big building made from scavenged metal places and cables. The roof of the big X is sweeped by the Vigils constantly, kept clean and visible from space. Little to no private spaces, everything is communed.
FOUR CORNERS. Each extremity holds a barebones outpost and a guard. Recovering from a recent raid.
DROIDS
Boberson Smithjohn. Limps on a rusted leg. A force of personality. (B4 M6 S9, Arm: Fast Droid Repair Tool Kit)
Leader of this Vigil and settlement. Immense devotion for the Creators, even calling himself a human name.
Good for his followers, but will stay here and wait even as entropy devours Droids in Bullseye.
WANTS the party to go to the two burrows next to the settlement in order to investigate Rumor #1 and #2. Will force Readie into accompanying if the Party suggests they can be of help.
Readie. Lost his left arm in the recent attack. A coward. (B3 M9 S4, Other: Selfpreservation directive chip)
Bullseye's Droid of science. Out of place, but well kept by Boberson for deciphering the holy scriptures.
Claims it can't be helped they are weak and scared, as that was how they were built. Envies and dislikes UM3305 for his bravery.
Good with human words, bad with droid words. Knows ALL rumors and if they are true, but doesn't want people to know that.
WANTS to be left alone and will refuse to go unless ordered to.
Unit Model 3305X2. Guard coordinator. Utilitarian. A dull, efficient Droid. Armed. (B8 M6 S5, Leg: Spiked soles)
Defended Bullseye in the last heavy raid attack. Has the respect and fear of the Droids. Has the Guard under his command.
WANTS the party to find out the mysteries of Rumor #2, and use that to demoralize Boberson and help UM3305 raise as a new, more efficient leader.
SECRETS AND RUMORS
- Each burrow holds a key to open a third, secret burrow.
- The secret burrow was protected to test the Droids, to prove to the Creators they mastered their tech and can now return. [FALSE]
- Both burrows hold a unfinished excavation project to the same point, apparently converging below Bullseye.
- The secret burrow holds a Dimmed.
- The secret burrow holds the purpose of this cluster: they achieved the center of the excavation project, a colossal chamber that had to be accessed from below. Inside, a True Mystery (consult the Mysteries table for the next True Mystery).1
very excited about this idea. Mythic Bastionland Myth structure on a planetary scale.↩
